By Pile of refuse were seen along University Road in the Yaba area of Lagos. Afriktimes observed that waste had accumulated at different points along the road when the area was visited today.
The refuse occupied sections of the roadside, with various household and environmental waste materials visible in the piles.
Sanitation officials from the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) were reportedly in the area on Monday carrying out cleaning activities, residents told Afriktimes. However, fresh refuse was observed at the location during the visit today.
University Road is located in Yaba within Lagos Mainland Local Government Area, an area known for residential buildings, businesses, and educational institutions.
