AfriikTimes earlier reported that the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced on his social media handles  that the state would resume the monthly environmental sanitation exercise. He said it would take place on Saturday, 25th April 2026. The exercise is set to take place every last Saturday of the month from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM.

According to the Commissioner, the residents of Lagos are to clean their surroundings, clear the drainage channels in their environment , and dispose refuse in an appropriate manner.
