The Taraba State Government has intensified efforts to strengthen the education sector, with renewed focus on improving infrastructure in primary schools across the state.
The Chairperson of the Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB), Mrs. Christiana Taninga Binga, made this known during an interview with journalists in her office in Jalingo. She said the board has concluded plans to construct additional classrooms, toilets and boreholes in primary schools to enhance the learning environment for pupils.
Mrs. Binga also disclosed that the government is set to recruit more teachers and provide adequate chairs and instructional materials to schools. She explained that the intervention aligns with Governor Agbu Kefas’ free education policy aimed at making quality education accessible to all children in the state.
According to her, the present administration is committed to investing significantly in public education and addressing long-standing challenges confronting the sector. She assured residents that visible improvements would soon be recorded across primary schools.
The TSUBEB Chairperson called on parents to encourage their children to pursue careers based on their talents and interests, stressing that such support would help them achieve their full potential.
She equally urged pupils to remain focused on their studies, assuring them that the government is working diligently to improve their learning conditions and secure a brighter future for young learners in Taraba State.
