Igor Tudor has signed his short term deal as new Tottenham interim manager, following the sacking of Thomas Frank after Tuesday night’s 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the agreement with Tudor only valid until June, with no option to extend. He hinted that future plans include Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino among top candidates to replace him at the end of the season.
Frank who joined Spurs last summer after a highly successful spell at Brentford where he consistently over-performed with limited resources, departs with Spurs languishing in 16th place in the Premier League table.
Tudor is expected to be in place to take Spurs training at the start of the week with his first game in charge the north London derby against Arsenal next Sunday.
The Croatian’s priority will be keeping Spurs in the Premier League after Thomas Frank was sacked with the club 16th in the table and just five points above the relegation zone.
