English Championship side, Coventry City have reached an agreement with Premier League club, Brentford for the signing of Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the proposed move is a loan deal that includes an option for Coventry to make the transfer permanent in the summer, subject to a medical and the completion of final paperwork.
The Nigerian International has made six Premier League appearances, all from the bench, and has yet to register a start. This follows his return from a loan spell with Bundesliga side FC Augsburg, where he spent last season.

Coventry City, currently leading the EFL Championship, have moved to strengthen their squad as the season progresses.
The club has identified Onyeka as a key midfield reinforcement, with negotiations reported to be progressing positively in recent days.
Onyeka is known for his defensive qualities and midfield work rate, attributes that have seen him feature regularly for the Nigerian national team.
He has earned 41 international caps for the Super Eagles and was part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations that won the bronze medal in Morocco.
