England giant, Chelsea Football Club has issued a statement after two fans were attacked on Tuesday in Naples, ahead of the UEFA Champions League match against Napoli on Wednesday.
- Chelsea via a statement on its website, urged supporters traveling to Naples for the game to “be extremely cautious,” as the two fans are currently receiving treatment for their injuries in the hospital.
Part of the statement reads: “The club is aware of an incident that happened on Tuesday in Naples. Two fans have been hospitalized with injuries that are not “life-threatening.”
Chelsea also advised all traveling supporters to remain vigilant and heed the guidance provided prior to the match.
While there have been reports circulating on social media about possible stabbings involving Chelsea fans in Naples, the cause of the injuries has not yet been officially confirmed by the Napoli au
thorities.
