The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it’s unaware of any suspension of the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Ireti Kingibe.
The party’s chapter in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday accused the lawmaker of withholding funds meant for campaign activities during the recent Area Council elections in the territory, leading to her purported suspension.
In an open letter addressed to members of the party’s National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress, the FCT Publicity Secretary of the party, Samuel Chukwudi Nwigbo, questioned the senator’s commitment to the party.
The letter, titled “The Many Sins of Distinguished Senator Ireti and Why Her Suspension is Justifiable,” accused the lawmaker of failing to openly campaign for the party during a major election conducted within her constituency.

Reacting to the development in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said it’s not aware of the suspension.
