The Adamawa State Ministry of Health has reaffirmed its commitment to sustained collaboration with civil society organizations (CSOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in addressing health and social challenges across the state.

‎The Commissioner for Health, Felix Tangwami, gave the assurance while receiving members of the I Need to Know Empowerment Initiative during a courtesy visit to his office in Yola.

‎Mr. Tangwami stated that the ministry remains open and receptive to partnerships that are people-centered and impact-driven, stressing that government alone cannot effectively tackle the growing health and social issues without the support of relevant stakeholders.

‎According to him, the ministry is ready to accept ideas, programs, and interventions from credible organizations that align with government health policies, particularly in the areas of community health education, disease prevention, youth empowerment, and social development.

‎“Our doors are open to meaningful collaborations. We welcome initiatives that will help amplify health awareness, strengthen community engagement, and improve the overall wellbeing of the people of Adamawa State,” the commissioner said.

‎Earlier, while speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the association in Adamawa State, Boniface Waziri, explained that the purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the I Need to Know Empowerment Initiative to the ministry and explore areas of partnership.

‎Waziri noted that the organization is committed to empowering communities through access to accurate information, advocacy, and grassroots engagement on health and social issues, adding that collaboration with the ministry would enhance the reach and effectiveness of their programs.

‎He further commended the Adamawa State Government for its ongoing efforts in improving healthcare delivery and expressed optimism that the proposed partnership would yield positive results for vulnerable groups across the state.

‎The ministry, in response, assured the delegation of its readiness to provide technical guidance and institutional support to organizations whose activities complement government health objectives, emphasizing that collective action remains key to achieving sustainable health outcomes.

‎The visit ended with mutual expressions of goodwill and a shared resolve to strengthen cooperation for the benefit of the people of Adamawa State.
