The Adamawa State Police Command has stepped up efforts to strengthen security across the state, as the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, convened a strategic meeting with senior officers to review and reinforce existing safety measures.

‎The high-level meeting brought together Divisional Police Officers, Area Commanders, Heads of Departments and Operational Commanders. Discussions centred on improving intelligence gathering, enhancing inter-unit coordination and adopting proactive policing strategies to safeguard lives and property in both urban and rural communities.

‎As part of the renewed security drive, the Command approved the deployment of additional personnel to identified flashpoints in Yola South, Yola North, Song and Madagali Local Government Areas. The decision follows recent security concerns, including a reported kidnapping incident in Pallam Community.

‎CP Morris urged officers to embrace a public-friendly approach to policing, while assuring them of full supervisory and logistical support from the Command. He stressed that sustainable security can only be achieved through professionalism, teamwork and strong community trust.

‎The Deputy Commissioners of Police in charge of Administration, Operations and Investigation reaffirmed their commitment to implementing and sustaining the Command’s action plans.

‎ They emphasized that improving security in Adamawa State requires resilience, continuous capacity building and a shared sense of responsibility among all personnel.
