Nigeria- As Afriktimes highlights the top music moments ahead of the weekend, Spotify’s 2025 end of year streaming data shows that With You, a collaboration between Nigerian artistes Davido and Omah Lay, was the most streamed song in Nigeria.
The track recorded the highest number of plays by Nigerian users on the platform, surpassing other local and international songs during the year.
Released in 2025, With You appeared frequently on Nigeria focused playlists including editorial selections and algorithm driven lists, which contributed to its visibility and consistent streaming throughout the year. The song was played more times within Nigeria than any other track on Spotify in 2025.
The streaming milestone follows the 68th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 1 2026 in Los Angeles United States, where With You was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category.
The song did not win the award, which was taken by South African singer Tyla for her single Push 2 Start.
Other nominees in the category were Burna Boys Love, Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matins Hope and Love, and Ayra Starrs Gimme Dat featuring Wizkid.
The Recording Academy, organisers of the Grammys, selects winners through a member voting process, a system separate from streaming based rankings such as those released by Spotify.
Davido and Omah Lay have continued to perform and promote their music across events and digital platforms following the release of With You.
Spotify’s 2025 data highlights the song’s strong consumption among Nigerian listeners and confirms its position as the most streamed track in the country for the year.
