By Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has distributed 17 new Honda vehicles to the newly elected chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 17 local government areas of the state.
The vehicles were presented to the beneficiaries by the Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, who said the gesture was aimed at easing their official engagements and strengthening the implementation of the ruling party’s policies and programmes at the grassroots.
Gubana urged the chairmen to make proper use of the vehicles and remain committed to promoting unity among party members in their respective local governments.
He also advised them to avoid bitterness, work towards uniting supporters and remain vigilant against political betrayals.
According to him, the local government party chairmen must adhere strictly to the principles and guidelines of the APC and maintain close collaboration with critical stakeholders in the state while carrying out their responsibilities.
In his remarks, the Yobe State APC Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, thanked party stakeholders for their support and understanding during the congresses that produced the new leadership.
He congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to ensuring the success of the APC in their respective local government areas.
Gadaka further warned that the vehicles were not for personal use or sale but must be used strictly for party-related activities.
