Igor Tudor has played down speculation about his future as Tottenham Hotspur manager, urging calm amid the club’s difficult run of form.
Speaking on recent setbacks, especially the 5-2 defeat to Athletic Madrid in their Champions League round of 16 first leg encounter, Tudor insisted the focus should remain on stabilising the team rather than discussing his position.
“It’s not about me. We need to stay calm. Less talking,” the Croatian coach said.
He added that the current situation is not the right time for lengthy explanations about the team’s struggles.
“Better less talking. Now is not the moment to try and give a big explanation,” Tudor stated.
Tottenham have endured a difficult spell in recent weeks, increasing pressure on the manager as the club looks to turn its season around.
