By Graham Potter has signed a new contract to remain head coach of the Sweden national football team until June 2030. The Swedish Football Association confirmed the extension on Thursday, securing the long-term future of the English manager who took charge of the team in 2025.
Potter has built a strong managerial reputation across Europe prior to moving into international football. He began his coaching career at Ostersunds FK, where he spent seven years and famously guided the club from Sweden’s fourth tier to the top division while winning the Svenska Cupen.
His success in Sweden earned him a move to Swansea City in the English Championship in 2018 before he joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, where he gained widespread praise for his progressive style of play.
Potter later managed Chelsea before a brief spell at West Ham United. His contract extension with Sweden will see him lead the Scandinavian nation through upcoming international competitions and into the next decade.
