Alisson Becker has had his contract with Liverpool extended until June 2027 after the club triggered the one-year option clause contained in his existing deal.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian international goalkeeper, who initially signed a long-term contract with Liverpool in 2021, will now remain at Anfield for an additional year following the activation of the extension clause in his contract.
Alisson has been a key figure for Liverpool since joining from AS Roma in 2018, helping the club secure major honours including the UEFA Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League title in the 2019/2020 season.
The extension ensures Liverpool retain one of the world’s top goalkeepers as the club continues to build under head coach Arne Slot.
