Former Kano State Governor, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has dismissed a viral social media message claiming the party is planning protests over rising insecurity, insisting the NDC does not support actions that could cause breakdown of public order.

In a press statement released on Monday, Kwankwaso stated that the party is not in support of actions that will lead to destruction of lives and properties.

“We do not support any action that could lead to the breakdown of public order or the destruction of lives and property. As responsible leaders, we remain committed to peaceful and constructive approaches in addressing national challenges.”

He also noted that the party firmly believe in the ballot box as the most legitimate and effective way to express grievances and seek change.

“Our party, the NDC, is confident of securing a resounding victory in the upcoming elections through peaceful democratic means” he added.

He urged all members of the public to disregard the false message and ignore those peddling such information.
