If we hear anything about Accord, this election we are about to have… you can record me o; anyone wearing yellow caps is an animal. Anywhere we see them, we are killing them.
The remarks, an apparent reference to supporters of the Accord Party, whose campaign colour is yellow, and its candidate, incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, have drawn swift condemnation from within the party and heightened fears of election-related violence in the state.

Coming After Weeks of Tension
The video surfaces against the backdrop of weeks of mounting friction between Fadahunsi and the Accord Party. The party has publicly accused the senator of working with elements of the Osun State Police Command to intimidate and detain its members ahead of Saturday’s election. These allegations prompted a protest march led by the state’s First Lady, Titilola Adeleke, to police headquarters in Osogbo earlier this week, demanding that Fadahunsi be questioned over alleged violence in parts of the state.
Accord leaders have separately called on the Inspector-General of Police and President Bola Tinubu to intervene, alleging a pattern of unlawful arrests of their members and candidates in the run-up to the poll.
