By Egemba Chinonso Fidelis, a medical doctor and a health influencer popularly known as Aproko Doctor, shared a video on his official social media pages today, giving advice on the dangers of glaucoma and the importance of regular eye checkups
In the video, Aproko Doctor explained that glaucoma is an eye condition that gradually damages eyesight without giving obvious signs or warnings. He noted that if left undetected, the damage can become permanent.
According to Aproko Doctor, early signs include loss of side vision and reduced sight at the corners of the eyes. He said it may also be followed by seeing circles around bulbs or headlights, especially at night, serious eye pain, headaches, and occasional nausea. The eyes may also go blurry due to increasing pressure.
Aproko Doctor advised his viewers experiencing these symptoms to visit an Ophthalmologist. He added that a simple eye pressure test can detect glaucoma early.
