By The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the next phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, directing applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test conducted in November 2025 to check their status online.
In a statement issued on Friday, June 13, 2026, by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. A.M. Jibril (Rtd.), the Board said the next phase would involve physical screening and document verification for shortlisted candidates.
The statement noted that applicants are expected to visit the official recruitment portal between June 15 and June 20, 2026, to confirm whether they have been shortlisted for the exercise.
According to the Board, shortlisted candidates will be required to upload their credentials and select preferred dates and venues for the screening process through the portal.
The CDCFIB stressed that the recruitment exercise remains free of charge and warned applicants against paying money to individuals or groups promising assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation or final selection.
“The Board wishes to emphasize that the recruitment process is completely FREE. Hence, no FEE should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group or organization claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venue, or final selection” the statement read.
The Board also cautioned members of the public against fake recruitment messages, fraudulent links and unauthorized persons claiming to act on behalf of the agency.
“All official updates shall be communicated through the CDCFIB recruitment portal as well as approved official communication channels,” the statement added.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent and merit-based recruitment process in line with existing rules guiding federal recruitment exercises.
