Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed the Commissioner of Police in the state to immediately arrest those involved in the killing of Mr Ajagungbade, popularly known as Emir.

The governor also ordered the immediate vacation of motor parks by warring groups and announced the reintroduction of a Park Management System across the state.

According to a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the killing allegedly stemmed from a leadership tussle at a motor park.

Adeleke, while calling for calm among residents, directed security agencies to restore normalcy across the affected motor parks and ensure the maintenance of law and order across the state.

The governor also said he would issue an Executive Order to give effect to the reintroduction of the Park Management System, which he said would bring discipline and orderliness to motor parks and garages across Osun.

“Law and order must be maintained. There will be no sacred cows as all culprits will be brought to book,” Adeleke said.

He urged members of the public to remain calm, assuring them that his administration would work to restore peace in affected parks and areas.

“The security agencies are under instruction to ensure the sustainability of peace at all cost.

“We are reintroducing the Park Management System. I will soon issue an executive order to give effect to the new management system to manage parks and garages across the state,” the governor said.

The governor’s directive comes amid heightened concerns over violence linked to disputes within the state’s motor park system.

Rasheed said the governor had directed the police and other security agencies to act immediately to restore order.
