Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Accord Party’s national leadership have thrown their weight behind President Bola Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement followed a Saturday night meeting between the governor and the party’s national officers in Osogbo, where a broad range of issues affecting Accord were on the table.
Party leaders used the occasion to press the case for the Tinubu administration to see through infrastructure projects already in motion, singling out the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Sokoto-Badagry Highway as priorities that should be completed.
Attention also turned to Osun’s own governorship race in August, with national leaders cautioning against any resort to violence, intimidation, vote manipulation, or the deployment of security forces against Accord members within the state.
Those representing the party’s national leadership at the meeting included National Chairman Maxwell Mgbudem, Deputy National Chairman Maryam Sale, National Secretary Ajaja Abiola Adebukola, National Treasurer Abdulazeez Oyeniyi Salaudeen, National Organising Secretary Ibe Thankgod, and National Publicity Secretary Omorogbe Joseph.
State chairmen of the party from across the country were also present.
