The much-anticipated Dangote Refinery IPO has officially gone live today, September 14, 2026, giving Nigerians their first chance to buy into Africa’s largest refinery.

Dangote Industries Limited President Aliko Dangote marked the occasion by sounding the gong at the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos, making Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals the first refinery ever to be listed on the NGX in its 66-year history.

The offer consists of 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at N525 each, with a minimum subscription of just 10 shares, meaning you can get in for as little as N5,250. If fully subscribed, the offer is expected to raise N2.15tn.

Subscription is open now and will run until October 13, 2026. Both retail and institutional investors can participate, and 32 approved channels, including major banks, fintech platforms and mobile network operators, have already been published for those looking to apply.

Dangote described the offer as a “People’s IPO,” stressing that it’s designed to let everyday Nigerians own a piece of the refinery, not just large investors.
