Ikorodu City have restored their lead in the race for CAF Confederation Cup Continental Ticket after beating Wikki Tourists 3-1 in Lagos on Tuesday, May 5.

The match opened with an early advantage after Farouk Salami netted to put Ikorodu City ahead of the visitors. Abayomi Ayodeji doubled the lead in the 18th minute before Joseph Arumala scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 in favour of Ikorodu City in the first half.

However, the visitors were able to pull one back courtesy of a sharp strike from Jephtaph Mairiga. Following that goal, all efforts from both sides to convert their chances were welcomed with restrictions. The game ended 3-1 to restore Ikorodu City back in 3rd place with 58 points. They remain one point above Shooting Stars and four points behind the league leader.
