NYSC Fixes May 21 for Passing-Out of 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially announced Thursday, May 21, 2026, as the date for the passing-out of 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Corps Members across Nigeria. The decision was approved by the scheme’s management as part of its statutory calendar.

‎According to the update from the NYSC’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, signed by Caroline W. Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations, programs leading up to the passing-out ceremony are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. These will include Job Advisory and Counselling sessions organised by the NYSC in collaboration with other agencies, alongside the signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors.

“The activities heralding the event will commence on Tuesday 5th May, 2026 and will include Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) by the NYSC and other relevant agencies as well as the signing of final clearance by the Zonal Inspectors”. The post read.

‎The passing-out exercise will be conducted as a low-key event nationwide. Certificates of National Service will be distributed to eligible corps members at the Local Government Area level, in line with the scheme’s established procedures.

‎The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, expressed optimism about the successful completion of the service year. He encouraged corps members to reflect on their experiences and prepare for life after national service.

‎He stated that corps members should remain guided by the core values of the scheme and continue to uphold its ideals in their future engagements as responsible citizens and ambassadors of the NYSC.
