The Super Eagles of Nigeria were in outstanding form on Saturday night at The Valley in London as they defeated Jamaica 3-0 to lift the 2026 Unity Cup for the fourth time.

Nigeria booked their place in the final after defeating Zimbabwe 2-0 in the semi-finals, courtesy of a brace from debutant Femi Azeez. Jamaica, on the other hand, edged past India 2-0 to qualify for another consecutive final against the Super Eagles.

The final kicked off at 7:30 pm following the third-place match between Zimbabwe and India earlier in the day. Zimbabwe claimed third place with a narrow 1-0 victory, thanks to a penalty converted by Prince Dube.

Nigeria began the final brightly and got an early breakthrough in the 3rd minute. Alhassan Yusuf reacted quickest to a rebound from Jamaica’s goalkeeper and calmly slotted the ball into the net to hand the Super Eagles an early lead.

The Super Eagles continued to dominate proceedings, and their efforts paid off again in the 59th minute when Terem Moffi doubled the advantage. Femi Azeez delivered a fine cross from the edge of the box, and Moffi rose highest to guide a powerful header past the goalkeeper.

Alhassan Yusuf completed his brace deep into stoppage time after connecting with an excellent pass from Philip Otele before firing a stunning effort from outside the box into the net in the 91st minute.

The match ended 3-0 in favour of Nigeria, who successfully retained their Unity Cup title. Jamaica once again fell short against the Super Eagles in the final, having also lost to Nigeria in the 2025 edition after a dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
