Shooting Stars SC and Crown FC Ogbomoso will clash in the final of the male category of the Oyo State Federation Cup at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasigba, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in what looks like a repeated encounter.
The encounter, scheduled to kick off at 3:00 p.m., will see Shooting Stars, who compete in the Nigeria Premier Football League, take on Crown FC, currently battling for points in the Nigeria National League.
Shooting Stars, the defending champions, booked their place in the final after edging past their academy side, courtesy of a first-half strike from Alade Balogun.
Crown FC, on the other hand, delivered a dominant performance in the semi-final, defeating Ibadan United 2–0, with goals from Odeyemi Ebenezer and Sodiq Rilwan securing their passage.
Recall that Crown FC lost the final of the 2025 edition to Shooting Stars, but they will look to comeback from their defeat and set a new record.
In the female category, Pacesetter Queens will face Dragon Fury Ladies at 1:00 p.m. at the same venue.
Pacesetter Queens currently sit eighth in Group A of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, having recorded one win and four draws in fifteen matches. Dragon Fury Ladies have shown strong form in the Skoda Ibadan Federation Council Women’s League, scoring eight goals in three matches, including a 6–0 victory over Sunlight Queens.
Both fixtures are expected to deliver competitive and entertaining contests as teams battle for state honours.
